Hi There! It’s me Kristin Jacobs and there is no place I would rather spend my workday than helping you get through yours!
I haven’t always lived in Bakersfield. I’m originally from San Luis Obispo County and lived there for 20 years. I guess I was in 3rd grade when I wrote a report about what I wanted to be when I grew up…a disc jockey. Go figure. So right after high school I marched over to the local radio station and got started! Why did I move to Kern County? It sounds corny, but I moved here for love. My fiancé was working over here and we had been dating since we were 15 years old…so part of the deal of marrying the guy was to move here. So I did and have been on the airwaves here since 1999. ’99 was a HUGE year for us…not only did we finally get married, but we welcomed our daughter, Hannah. My son Jack followed a few years later in 2003. They are the loves of my life!! They are the most amazing things to me!
When I’m not talking into a microphone or changing diapers, I love watching General Hospital, listening to Celine Dion….ALL DAY….(kidding, sorta) and going on cruises! Have you been on one? You gotta do it! Lately, I’ve been trying to become a better cook, so easy recipes are always welcome. And lastly, spending as much time with my family as I can.
We are a really busy family. I feel that I have the best of both worlds…I am able to pursue the career that I adore, while having the luxury of raising my children full time.
